The Micro 100 DMM-060-290X is a new, solid carbide drill mill with a 0.060 in (1.524 mm) cutting diameter and a 290° included point angle, designed for drilling and milling in a single operation. The "X" suffix in Micro 100's DMM series designates an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, which is confirmed by the dark black finish visible in the product photo; AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and hardness, making this tool well-suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless steels, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The DMM series features a 2-flute helical design with a self-centering point geometry, enabling the tool to drill to depth and then perform radial milling operations without a separate spotting operation, reducing cycle times in precision CNC machining applications.
