The Micro 100 EMS-250-2 is a new, solid submicron carbide 2-flute square end mill with a 1/4 in (0.250 in) cutting diameter, manufactured in the USA to Micro 100's "Super Carbide" standard — a proprietary ultra-fine grain tungsten carbide substrate that provides superior hardness and edge retention over standard carbide grades. The tool features a TiN (Titanium Nitride) PVD coating, visible as the characteristic dark gold-black finish in the photos, which raises surface hardness, reduces friction, and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous milling applications. With 2 flutes, this end mill offers larger chip gullets suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum where chip evacuation is a priority. The shank diameter matches the cutting diameter at 1/4 in, making it directly compatible with standard 1/4 in ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style chucks.
