Micro 100 EMS-500-4X 1/2 in 4-Flute AlTiN Carbide Square End Mill

The Micro 100 EMS-500-4X is a new, USA-made solid carbide 4-flute square end mill with a 1/2 in (0.500 in) cutting diameter and a matching 1/2 in straight shank, designed for slotting, peripheral milling, and finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features Micro 100's AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) PVD coating, evidenced by the dense black/dark-blue finish visible across the flute and shank surfaces, which provides elevated hardness, heat resistance up to ~1400°F, and reduced friction at the cutting edge for extended tool life in steel, stainless, and cast iron applications. The EMS series from Micro 100 is a standard-length, center-cutting end mill ground from submicron-grain carbide substrate, compatible with standard ER collet chucks, Weldon flat set-screw holders, and precision hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 1/2 in bore. Made in the U.S.A. as marked on the original orange plastic clamshell case.
