The Micro 100 GEMM-100-4X is a new, solid submicron-grain "Super Carbide" square end mill from Micro 100's GEMM (General End Mill) series, manufactured in the USA. It features a 1/8 in (0.100 in) cutting diameter, 1/8 in straight shank, 4-flute geometry, and a short-length overall profile suited for rigidity in close-quarters milling operations. The tool carries a dark AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) PVD coating — visible as the uniform near-black finish across both the flutes and shank — which provides elevated hardness, oxidation resistance up to ~900°C, and extended tool life when machining steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The 4-flute configuration and square (flat) end geometry make it suitable for side milling, slotting, and profiling in CNC machining centers using standard ER collet or end mill holder tooling.
