The Micro 100 HRM-050-50 is a new, single-end solid carbide engraving blank from Micro 100's "Super Carbide" line, manufactured in the USA and belonging to the HRM (Half-Round Blank) series. Decoded from the part number: HRM = Half-Round profile blank, 050 = 5.00 mm (0.197 in) cutter diameter, 50 = 50.0 mm overall length; the half-round cross-section features a flat ground face on one side and a radiused back, as clearly visible in the photos. The blank is supplied unground with a black oxide surface treatment on the body and polished flat face, allowing the user to grind a custom engraving or scribing profile to exact geometry requirements; it is stored in Micro 100's standard protective tube with red end cap.
