Micro 100 MMBM-005-5 0.005in Ball 5xLOC Carbide Miniature End Mill

The Micro 100 MMBM-005-5 is a new, solid carbide miniature ball end mill with a 0.005 in (0.127 mm) ball cutting diameter and a 5x length-of-cut (LOC) series, manufactured in the USA from Micro 100's "Super Carbide" submicron grain tungsten carbide substrate. The MMBM series features a tapered neck profile — visible in the photos — that provides clearance for deep, narrow pocket milling while the large-diameter shank (0.250 in / 1/4 in) maximizes rigidity and minimizes runout in collet-style and end-mill-holder toolholders. This tool is designed for engraving, micro-milling, and die/mold detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where extreme precision at very small feature sizes is required; the 5x LOC geometry allows reach into deep cavities that standard-length ball mills cannot access. The uncoated, polished carbide finish is suited for non-ferrous and precision finishing cuts where a coating could affect dimensional accuracy at this micro scale.
