The Micro 100 MMBM-015-15 is a new, solid subminiature carbide ball end mill with a 0.015 in (0.381 mm) ball diameter and 1.5 in overall length, manufactured in the USA from Micro 100's "Super Carbide" micrograin tungsten carbide substrate. The MMBM series designation indicates a Miniature Metric Ball Mill with reduced-neck geometry, meaning the 0.015 in cutting diameter steps up through a tapered neck to a larger shank — visible clearly in the photos — enabling deep-cavity access with minimized deflection on micro-scale features. The dark finish visible on the cutting end is consistent with Micro 100's standard AlTiN-family PVD coating applied to this series, enhancing hardness and thermal resistance for dry or light-coolant milling in steels, stainless, titanium, and aluminum. The large-diameter cylindrical shank (nominally 3/16 in or 1/4 in) provides robust grip in standard collet chucks or end mill holders, and the tool ships in Micro 100's signature orange protective plastic tube.
