The Micro 100 MMRM-030-8 is a new, USA-made miniature square-end carbide end mill from the company's "super carbide" line, featuring a 0.030 in (0.762 mm) cutting diameter on a reduced-diameter neck that steps down from a 1/8 in shank — the classic Micro 100 MMRM (Miniature Multi-Flute Right-Hand Milling) configuration. The tool carries 2 flutes with a right-hand cut and right-hand helix, ground from Micro 100's submicron-grain "super carbide" substrate and finished with a DLC/TiAlN-family black PVD coating visible in the photos, providing hardness and lubricity for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an overall length of approximately 1.500 in and a neck relief design that allows access into tight pockets beyond the cutting length, this mill is suited for micro-mold work, watch and instrument components, medical device features, and PCB fixturing on CNC machining centers and high-speed micro-mills using ER8, ER11, or equivalent collet toolholders.
