The Micro 100 QBT-3001600 is a new, solid "super carbide" quick-change boring bar from Micro 100's QBT series, manufactured in the USA. Decoded from the part number: "QBT" denotes Quick-change Boring Tool, "300" = 0.300 in minimum bore diameter, and "1600" = 1.600 in length of cut (depth of bore). The bar features a bright (uncoated) ground carbide shank designed for use in Micro 100's quick-change boring tool system, accepting the stepped-shank interface visible in the photos, and the cutting tip is relief-ground for internal turning/boring operations. This tool is suited for precision boring of small-diameter holes in steels, stainless, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials on CNC or manual lathes equipped with compatible quick-change boring tool holders.
