The Micro 100 QBT-3602100 is a solid carbide quick-change through-coolant boring bar manufactured in the USA from Micro 100's proprietary "super carbide" micrograin tungsten carbide substrate, finished with a black oxide/DLC-style dark coating visible in the photos. Decoding the MPN: QBT = Quick-change Boring bar for Through-bore (straight boring), 360 = 0.360 in shank diameter, 2100 = 2.100 in overall length, with a minimum bore of approximately 0.390 in and a maximum bore depth suited to the OAL. The quick-change shank interface (visible as the stepped collar near the cutting end) is compatible with Micro 100's Quick-Change tool system, allowing rapid insert-free tool changes on lathes and CNC turning centers without removing the toolholder. This new, unused bar is suited for finish boring of through-holes in steel, stainless, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys at small bore diameters where rigidity is critical.
