The Micro 100 QSR-375-4.0 is a new solid carbide quick-change right-hand boring bar with a 3/8 in (0.375 in) shank diameter and 4.0 in overall length, manufactured in the USA from Micro 100's proprietary "Super Carbide" submicron grain carbide substrate. The QSR series is designed for Micro 100's quick-change tooling system and features a black PVD coating (visible in the photos) that improves wear resistance, reduces friction, and extends tool life when machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This bar produces internal bores and is compatible with Micro 100 quick-change toolholders accepting a 3/8 in shank; the right-hand cutting geometry suits conventional CNC lathe or boring mill setups where the cutter advances from right to left.
