Micro 100 QSR-500-4.5 1/2in Shank Solid Carbide Quick-Change Boring Bar

The Micro 100 QSR-500-4.5 is a solid carbide, right-hand, quick-change shank boring bar featuring a 1/2 in (0.500 in) shank diameter and 4.5 in overall length, manufactured in the USA from Micro 100's proprietary "super carbide" submicron grain tungsten carbide substrate. The QSR series designates a right-hand cutting orientation with a single straight flute relieved cutting edge ground directly into the carbide shank, and the tool carries a black PVD-style surface treatment visible on the body (uncoated cutting edge). These bars are designed for use in Micro 100's quick-change tooling system and are compatible with corresponding quick-change tool holders; the 0.500 in shank also fits standard 1/2 in boring bar blocks and turning center turrets. Typical applications include finish and semi-finish internal diameter turning of steel, stainless, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys where rigidity and vibration resistance are critical. Offered here new-in-package with original Micro 100 orange plastic storage tube and label intact.
