The Micro 100 RDD-40 is a new, solid carbide router/drill bit featuring a diamond (cross) cut pattern and a drill-point tip, purpose-built for routing, deburring, and plunge-cutting operations in a wide range of materials including plastics, composites, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals. The "RDD" designation encodes the series (R = router bit, DD = diamond cut / drill point), and the "40" suffix corresponds to the 3/16 in (0.1875 in) cutting diameter within Micro 100's sizing convention. The diamond cut geometry produces a cross-hatch flute pattern that aggressively shears material from multiple directions, reducing heat buildup and producing a finer surface finish than single-cut burrs, while the self-centering drill point enables on-location plunge entry without pre-drilling. The 1/4 in shank is compatible with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and CNC router spindles accepting 1/4 in collets, and the 5/8 in length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes in production or toolroom environments. This tool ships in Micro 100's protective plastic tube packaging and is confirmed new/unused as shown in the photos.
