Per Micro 100's RD-series nomenclature, "RDE" designates a cylindrical end-cutting burr and "80" encodes the head diameter at 1/2 in (0.500 in) with a standard 1/4 in shank, manufactured from "Super Carbide" — Micro 100's designation for their premium micrograin tungsten carbide substrate — and made in the USA as marked on the packaging label.
