The Micro 100 RSCM-100-2 is a new, double-ended solid carbide combination drill and countersink (center drill) with a 60° included angle point on each end, designed for precise center-drilling operations on lathes and machining centers. Decoding the part number: RSCM = Right & left hand Solid Carbide combination drill/countersink with Micro 100's "super carbide" solid carbide substrate; 100 = 1/8 in (0.100 in) body diameter; 2 = 2-flute. The tool features Micro 100's proprietary black oxide-like DLC/TiN-free hard coating visible in the photos, providing lubricity and surface hardness to reduce built-up edge in ferrous materials. Both ends are fully ground to tight tolerances and are interchangeable, effectively doubling tool life before re-sharpening is required. This tool is manufactured in the USA and is suited for creating accurate center holes in steel, stainless, aluminum, and cast iron on manual lathes, CNC turning centers, and drill presses.
