The Micro 100 SME-026-2X is a new, solid subminiature carbide square end mill with a 0.026 in cutting diameter, 2 flutes, and an extended-reach tapered neck design that provides rigidity while accessing confined features. Manufactured from Micro 100's proprietary "super carbide" submicron-grain tungsten carbide substrate and finished with a dark AlTiN-style PVD coating (evidenced by the uniform black finish visible in the photo), it delivers excellent wear resistance and heat hardness for dry or minimal-coolant cutting in hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and non-ferrous alloys. The tapered shank transitions to a 1/8 in (3.175 mm) cylindrical shank suitable for standard collet chucks, providing a secure grip for high-speed CNC micro-milling, engraving, and fine-feature slotting operations. Made in the USA, this tool is supplied in Micro 100's standard protective plastic case.
