The Mitsubishi Materials DCGT070201-FJ VP10RT is a new, 55° diamond-shaped (D) positive-rake carbide turning insert in Mitsubishi's Dia-Edge line, conforming to ISO designation DCGT21.50.2FJ. The VP10RT grade is an uncoated ultra-fine grain cemented carbide specifically engineered for finishing and super-finishing of non-ferrous metals — primarily aluminum, copper, and brass alloys — where a sharp, honed edge and excellent surface finish are required. The insert geometry features a 7° clearance angle (C), ground-precision tolerance (G), with a T-type (top) chipbreaker and central mounting hole; the FJ chipbreaker geometry is optimized for low cutting forces and superb chip control at light depths of cut (ap ≤ 1.0 mm) and fine feeds. Each box contains 10 inserts and is compatible with SDJC/SDDC-style toolholders accepting DCGT 07 02 inserts (e.g., Mitsubishi SDJCL/R 10K-07 series). Made in Japan.
