This new Mitsubishi Materials DIAEDGE DNMA150408 (ANSI DNMA432) is a negative-rake 55-degree diamond turning insert in MC5005 grade, supplied as a box of 10. The designation decodes to a 55-degree diamond shape, 0-degree clearance, M tolerance class, cylindrical center hole with no chipbreaker (flat top), 12.7 mm (1/2 in) inscribed circle, 4.76 mm (3/16 in) thickness and 0.8 mm (1/32 in) nose radius. MC5005 is a CVD-coated carbide grade for ISO K workpieces such as cast iron, and the box label lists a cutting speed of 195-315 m/min (640-1030 SFM) and a feed of 0.20-0.56 mm/rev (0.008-0.022 IPR). It fits toolholders for 55-degree diamond DN-style negative inserts with a center-hole clamp and was made in Japan.
