This new Mitsubishi Materials Dia Edge DNMG110404-LP (ANSI DNMG331LP) is a 55-degree diamond, negative-rake (0-degree clearance) carbide turning insert with an M-class tolerance and a center hole. It has an 11 mm cutting edge length, a 9.525 mm (3/8 in) inscribed circle, a 4.76 mm (3/16 in) thickness and a 0.4 mm (1/64 in) nose radius. It is supplied in the MC6025 grade, a gold-colored CVD-coated carbide for ISO P (steel) turning, and the LP chipbreaker is designed for medium cutting. The box label lists a cutting speed of 220-360 m/min (720-1180 SFM) and a feed of 0.10-0.28 mm/rev (0.004-0.011 IPR). The pack contains 10 inserts, made in Japan, for use in holders with a matching 55-degree negative-rake DN-style pocket.
