The Mitsubishi Materials SVJBR-123 is a new, right-hand, square-shank indexable turning toolholder made in the USA, designed for VBMT/VBGT style 35° diamond inserts (V-shape, 35° included angle). Decoding the designation: S = square shank, V = 35° diamond insert shape (V), J = 93° lead angle side cutting edge angle, B = insert seat with 0° back rake (top clamp), R = right-hand cutting direction, 123 = 3/4 in × 3/4 in shank cross-section × 4-1/2 in overall length (1 = 3/4 in width, 2 = 3/4 in height, 3 = 4-1/2 in OAL per ANSI B212.5 size coding). The holder uses a screw-and-clamp (pin-lock) clamping system, accepts VBMT/VBGT 16 series inserts (IC ~3/8 in), and is suitable for general external turning, facing, and profiling operations on CNC lathes and manual engine lathes. Included with the holder are a spare clamp screw and a Torx/hex key wrench. The steel body provides rigid insert support for finishing to medium roughing cuts in steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials.
