Mitsubishi MVS0220X07S030 DP1020 2.2mm 7xD WSTAR Carbide Drill

The Mitsubishi Materials MVS0220X07S030 is a solid carbide WSTAR Miracle series twist drill from the DIAEDGE line, grade DP1020, designed for high-speed drilling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The MPN decodes as follows: MVS = WSTAR Miracle series with straight shank, 0220 = 2.20 mm drill diameter, X07 = 7× cutting depth-to-diameter ratio (flute length), S030 = 3.0 mm straight shank diameter. The DP1020 grade features a PVD TiAlN-based Miracle coating (identifiable by the characteristic dark bronze/reddish-brown flute color visible in the photos), applied over a fine-grain carbide substrate for exceptional hardness and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The drill features a proprietary W-type point geometry for self-centering, reduced thrust force, and improved chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications; it is compatible with 3.0 mm precision collet chucks (e.g., ER11 or smaller toolholding systems). This is a new, factory-sealed unit made in Japan.
