The Mitsubishi Materials MVS0653X08S080 is a new solid carbide, coolant-through twist drill from the DIAEDGE MVS series, ground in grade DP1020 — a PVD-coated (copper-bronze colored AlCrN-type) ultra-fine grain carbide substrate engineered for high-speed drilling of steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Decoding the part number: MVS = Multi-purpose V-flute Series; 0653 = 6.53 mm drill diameter; X08 = 8×D flute length (extra-long, approximately 52 mm flute); S080 = 8.0 mm straight cylindrical shank diameter, confirming the drill uses a reduced/over-shank design for use in standard 8 mm collet or hydraulic chucks.
