The Mitsubishi Materials MWS01875X25DB is a new, solid carbide through-coolant twist drill from the DIAEDGE MWS series, ground to a 3/16 in (0.1875 in) diameter with an extreme 25× diameter flute length, making it purpose-built for deep-hole drilling operations in a single pass. The grade VP15TF is a PVD-coated ultra-fine grain carbide — the TF multi-layer coating provides enhanced lubricity and heat resistance for superior tool life in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron applications. The "DB" suffix in the part number designates the through-coolant (double-channel internal coolant) construction, which delivers high-pressure coolant directly to the cutting edge to flush chips and reduce thermal load in deep-hole work.
