The Mitsubishi Materials TAWNH0046T VP15TF is a new, genuine Dia Edge brand carbide milling insert designed for use in Mitsubishi's TAW-series face milling and shoulder milling cutter bodies. The insert grade VP15TF is a PVD-coated (TiSiN-based multi-layer) cemented carbide grade specifically engineered for high-speed milling of steel and stainless steel, offering excellent wear resistance and chipping resistance with a sharp, positive cutting geometry. The "TAWNH" prefix indicates a negative-geometry, round/octagonal style insert optimized for the TAW high-feed milling system, while "0046T" encodes the size (nominally ~12.7 mm IC), thickness, and corner radius specifications per Mitsubishi's published insert designation system. VP15TF's PVD coating delivers superior adhesion resistance when cutting austenitic stainless steels, low-carbon steels, and general-purpose steel alloys at moderate-to-high cutting speeds.
