The Mitsubishi Materials VQ4SVBR0150 is a new, solid carbide 4-flute ball nose end mill from the Dia Edge VQ-4SVB series, featuring a 3.0mm ball diameter (R1.5mm radius) with a tapered neck design for enhanced reach and rigidity in deep-cavity milling. The tool carries the ZS coating — Mitsubishi's proprietary AlTiN-based PVD coating — which delivers high hardness and heat resistance, making it well-suited for hardened steel milling up to approximately 65 HRC, as well as alloy steels, tool steels, and die/mold work. The variable helix (Smart geometry) flute design suppresses chatter and improves surface finish in high-speed finishing and semi-finishing operations. The tapered neck construction reduces interference in steep-wall and rib-milling scenarios while the 4-flute configuration increases metal removal rate versus 2-flute alternatives. This is a Made in Japan tool manufactured to Mitsubishi Materials' SMART series tolerances, packaged in the standard blue Dia Edge plastic case, and is unused/new-in-box.
