The Mitutoyo 103-929 (OMST-3) is a new, 3-piece outside micrometer set covering 0–1 in, 1–2 in, and 2–3 in ranges, each reading to 0.001 in graduation with a thimble-lock and ratchet-stop for consistent measuring force. All three micrometers feature a carbon steel frame with satin-chrome finished thimble and sleeve, hardened and ground anvil and spindle faces, and a baked-enamel frame coating for corrosion resistance. The set ships in a fitted hard plastic carrying case with individual setting standards (gauge blocks) for the 1–2 in and 2–3 in units, and includes a calibration/inspection certificate. Intended for precision dimensional inspection of external workpieces in tool rooms, quality labs, and production floors where imperial measurement to 0.001 in resolution is required.
