The Mitutoyo 128-105 is a new, mechanical (vernier) depth micrometer with a 0–1 in (0–25 mm) measuring range and 0.001 in graduation, designed to measure the depth of holes, slots, shoulders, and recesses with precision. The unit features a hardened and ground satin-chrome finished thimble with ratchet stop for consistent measuring force, a 2.5 in (63 mm) wide flat base that references the workpiece surface, and a single interchangeable measuring rod included in the set (DMS2.5-1"). The base is ground flat and lapped for accurate seating, and the thimble incorporates a lock clamp to hold readings during transfer — all confirmed by the box label reading "DEPTH MIC W/ROD&CLAMP – 0-1 2.5X63 BASE 4MII" and the Mitutoyo model designation DMS2.5-1" on the side label (128-105).
