Mitutoyo 164-164 0-2in 0.00005in Digital Micrometer Head

The Mitutoyo 164-164 (model MHD-2MB) is a new digital micrometer head with a 0–2 inch (0–50.8 mm) measuring range and a resolution of 0.00005 inch / 0.001 mm, placing it in Mitutoyo's high-resolution absolute digimatic micrometer head series made in Japan. The LCD display shows INC (incremental) and ABS (absolute) modes, selectable via the ZERO/ABS button, with additional PRESET and +/− functions for flexible datum setting without mechanical resetting. Power is supplied by two SR44 silver oxide batteries, and the unit carries both CE and UKCA marks confirming conformity to applicable EU and UK directives. The spherical-faced spindle tip and knurled thimble are standard features of Mitutoyo MHD-series heads, which are designed for integration into custom fixtures, stages, and precision positioning equipment where a standalone measuring head — rather than a complete micrometer frame — is required.
