The Mitutoyo 293-181-40 QuantuMike is a high-speed Digimatic outside micrometer covering a 1–2 in (25.4–50.8 mm) measurement range, displaying resolution to 0.00005 in / 0.001 mm on a large LCD with in/mm switchover, MODE, SET, and HOLD functions. The frame carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, confirmed on the frame label visible in photos, and features solid carbide-tipped anvil and spindle faces for long-term wear resistance and dimensional stability. The rapid-advance QuantuMike spindle mechanism allows fast workpiece approach without sacrificing measuring accuracy; the ratchet-stop thimble delivers consistent, repeatable measuring force. This example is used — excellent condition, includes the original Mitutoyo orange box, a Panasonic CR2025 replacement battery, a green carbide-face protection cap, and Mitutoyo's zero-adjustment instruction card; battery compartment on the frame back panel is marked CR2032 per the second photo, consistent with the 293-18x series. Made in Japan.
