The Mitutoyo 293-230-30 (MDC-25MX) is a Digimatic electronic outside micrometer with a 0–25 mm measuring range and 0.001 mm resolution, part of Mitutoyo's coolant-proof series rated IP65 for protection against dust and low-pressure water jets — confirmed from the frame markings and box label visible in the photos. The measuring faces are solid carbide for extended wear life, and accuracy is ±1.0 µm (±0.001 mm / ±0.00004 in); the thimble uses a ratchet stop mechanism for consistent measuring force, and the frame incorporates heat-insulating side plates to minimize thermal error from hand contact. Three-button operation (ORIGIN, ZERO/ABS, HOLD) provides ABS (absolute) and INC (incremental) measurement modes with data output via the standard Mitutoyo SPC port for connection to data processors or statistical analysis systems. Supplied new — other condition in the original molded plastic case with SR44 battery (1.55 V), a standard gauge block is not included; made in Japan as labeled on the rear frame.
