The Mitutoyo 293-340-30 (MDC-1"PX) is a new Series 293 Coolant Proof Digimatic outside micrometer with a 0–1 in (0–25.4 mm) measuring range, offering a resolution of 0.00005 in / 0.001 mm and an accuracy of ±0.00010 in (±0.001 mm) traceable to NIST standards via the included certificate of inspection. Rated IP65 for coolant proof protection, it withstands cutting fluid and coolant splash in demanding shop environments, making it suitable for direct use at the machine tool. The LCD display reads in both inch and metric modes with ORIGIN, ZERO/ABS, and HOLD functions; an SPC data output port is standard for connection to Mitutoyo's Digimatic network. The micrometer ships complete with a Mitutoyo hard plastic carrying case, spanner wrench, SR44SW 1.55 V battery (No. 938882), and a NIST-traceable certificate of inspection.
