The Mitutoyo 343-350-32 is a new, Made-in-Japan digital caliper-type (jaw) outside micrometer with a 0–1 inch (0–25 mm) measuring range and a resolution of 0.00005 in / 0.001 mm, combining the jaw-style measuring faces of a caliper with the precision spindle mechanism of a micrometer for measuring grooves, shoulders, and recessed features inaccessible to standard anvil-type micrometers. The instrument features Mitutoyo's MX (SPC-output capable) digital readout with Origin, Zero/ABS, and Hold functions, inch/mm switchable display, and a friction thimble for consistent measuring force. The hardened steel jaw faces allow measurement of both internal-facing and external-facing features depending on jaw orientation, and the unit ships in a fitted case with a standard 1-inch setting standard. Accuracy is ±0.001 mm (±0.00004 in) per Mitutoyo published specifications for this series.
