Mitutoyo 4887A-19 4in 0.001in Long-Range Dial Indicator

The Mitutoyo 4887A-19 is a new, jeweled long-range continuous-reading dial indicator with a 4-inch (100mm) measuring range and 0.001-inch graduation, confirmed directly from the dial face markings visible in the photos. The indicator features a balanced dual-scale dial face reading 0–100 in both directions, a revolution counter subdial calibrated in 0.5-inch increments (0–4 in), and a long stem with ball-ended contact point suited for deep-reach measurement applications. Jeweled movement, as marked on the face, reduces friction and wear for extended service life and repeatability in high-cycle inspection environments. The CVPU22 designation visible on the subdial indicates the internal movement/series code; the gauge is made in Japan to Mitutoyo's standard accuracy specifications for this series. Typical applications include runout inspection on long shafts, flatness checking of large surfaces, machine tool travel verification, and fixture-mounted part inspection where standard 1-inch indicators have insufficient range.
