Mitutoyo 547-500S-CAL 0-0.47in 0.00005in Digital Thickness Gauge w/ Cal Cert

The Mitutoyo 547-500S is a new Digimatic (ID-SX series) electronic thickness gauge featuring the Absolute encoder system, which retains the origin position at power-off and eliminates the need for re-zeroing after startup. The gauge has a measuring range of 0–0.47 in (0–12 mm), a resolution of 0.00005 in / 0.001 mm, and an accuracy of ±0.001 in (±0.02 mm), with a measuring force of approximately 1.5 N via a lift lever for consistent contact. The C-frame body accommodates materials up to 0.47 in thick between its flat lower anvil and spherical upper spindle; the white ceramic contact tip visible in the photos prevents workpiece marring on soft materials such as rubber, film, gaskets, paper, leather, and thin sheet metal. This unit ships with the original Mitutoyo molded carrying case, SR44 battery, quick-start guide, and a NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration (Code No. 547-500S, calibrated August 6, 2024 by Mitutoyo America Calibration Lab, Aurora, IL), confirming as-found accuracy across the full 0–0.47 in range to within ±0.0000 in error at multiple reference points per the cal cert visible in the photos.
