The Mitutoyo 611194-531 is a new, individual rectangular steel gage block with a nominal length of 0.400 in (0.4 in), manufactured to ASME Grade 0 (equivalent to DIN/ISO Grade 1) accuracy per ASME B89.1.9-2002. Material is steel with a coefficient of thermal expansion of (6.3±0.3)×10⁻⁶/°F [(11.3±0.5)×10⁻⁶/°K], and the block is lapped and finished to wringing-quality flatness and parallelism on its measuring faces. Per the included Certificate of Inspection (serial 260154, cert T26C04567, dated 13 Mar 2026), the central deviation is +2.0 µin, maximum deviation +2.0 µin, minimum deviation +0.8 µin, and variation 1.2 µin — all traceable to NMIJ/AIST through JCSS, equivalent to NIST and PTB via CIPM MRA. Expanded measurement uncertainty is ≤2.4 µin for lengths 4 in and under. This block is used as a precision dimensional reference for calibrating micrometers, calipers, CMMs, comparators, and other measurement instruments in quality control, toolroom, and metrology laboratory applications.
