This H42P-2 porting tool is marked MS16142 5/16-24 and is a high-speed steel spotface cutter for machining straight-thread tube fitting ports. It cuts a 0.6920 in spotface diameter for a 5/16-24 port and is sized for 1/8 in tube OD. The plain-style tool has a stepped pilot nose that guides it in the pre-drilled port bore and a relieved, multi-edge cutting head on a round straight shank. It is used to produce the flat, square sealing surface around a port in hydraulic and pneumatic manifolds and housings. This item is new and supplied in a sealed bag with its original label.
