HSS-Co8 provides significantly higher red hardness and wear resistance than standard M2 HSS, making this grade well-suited for milling alloy steels, stainless steels, tool steels, and other tough or abrasive materials. The PG36 designation identifies this as a Nachi precision-ground end mill with a helical flute geometry engineered for general-purpose peripheral and slot milling operations; the shank is cylindrical and sized for standard 1-1/8 in. collets or end mill holders.
