This is a new Niagara Cutter (a Seco Tools Company) solid carbide ball nose end mill, EDP N09399, model STB430.2-0.625-D2-B.0-Z4, with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, manufactured in the USA. The tool features a 5/8 in (0.625 in) cutting diameter, 5/8 in shank diameter, 1-1/4 in length of cut, and 3-1/2 in overall length, with 4 flutes and a full ball nose profile for 3D contouring and profiling operations. AlTiN coating provides excellent hardness and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, making this end mill well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining of steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials up to approximately 55 HRC. The STB430.2 series is designed for high-performance finishing and semi-finishing passes in die/mold work and aerospace components; the 5/8 in shank is compatible with standard ER, milling chuck, and Weldon flat toolholders.
