This is a new Niagara Cutter REM710-0.750-D4-C030.3-Z4 (EDP N70969) 4-flute roughing end mill manufactured in the USA from high-speed cobalt (HSCO/M42) steel with a TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) coating, providing elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The tool measures 3/4 in cutting diameter with a 3/4 in straight shank, 1-5/8 in length of cut, and 3-7/8 in overall length, fitting standard 3/4 in collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style toolholders. The REM710 series features a fine-pitch wavy (roughing) tooth geometry on the flute lands that breaks chips into short segments, reducing cutting forces and allowing aggressive material removal rates in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. TiAlN coating deposits a hard aluminum-rich nitride layer that forms a protective alumina barrier at high cutting temperatures, making this end mill well-suited for dry or minimal-lubrication machining.
