The Nidek Handy NM-100 Type-D is a portable, handheld non-mydriatic fundus camera system manufactured by Nidek Co., Ltd. (Japan), designed for retinal imaging without pupil dilation. The system consists of a pistol-grip handheld camera head with an "EYE LEVEL" alignment guide and a separate tabletop control/processor unit featuring a built-in CRT monitor, POWER and FLASH indicators, READY status button, and dual IMAGE capture buttons. The rear panel of the control unit exposes BNC VIDEO OUT, BNC TRIG OUT, BNC TRIG IN, and a 9-pin RS-232C serial interface for external control and image output; input power is universal, rated 100–130 V / 1 A and 220–240 V / 1.5 A at 50–60 Hz (fuse-protected, 250 V). This unit is in used — fair condition, showing surface wear and aging on the power cable consistent with age; the control unit carries serial number 70048 and the system includes the camera handpiece, control unit with carry handle, and associated cabling.
