This North American Tool 1057502 is an M24 x 3.0 metric coarse spiral flute tap made from high speed steel (HS) with a GD-3 ground thread limit, as marked on the shank and box label. It has four flutes with a 52° spiral flute and a bottoming chamfer, which suits threading blind holes and pulls chips back out of the hole ahead of the cutting edges. The tap is bright (uncoated per the photos), has a square-drive shank, and is made in the USA. Supplied new in the original plastic box.
