This OSG 1653503908 (List 16535) is a 1/2-20 UNF spiral point (gun) tap with 3 flutes and a GH5 pitch diameter limit, with a TiCN coating as marked on the manufacturer's label. The spiral point geometry pushes chips ahead of the tap, which makes it suited to tapping through holes, and the bottoming-style chamfer designation on the label is P (plug). It has an extended, reduced-diameter shank ending in a square drive, which gives reach into deeper or recessed holes. Made in Japan and sold new in its original OSG tube packaging.
