The OSG 640-3752 is a new solid carbide cylindrical (SA/SC-style) rotary burr with a double-cut (cross-cut) finish, designated SC FGR — cylindrical shape with an end cut — featuring a 3/8 in (9.525 mm) head diameter and 1 in length of cut, manufactured in the USA as confirmed by labeling on the shank. The double-cut flute geometry produces a crosshatch pattern that removes material rapidly while generating finer chips and lower cutting forces compared to single-cut burrs, making it well-suited for aggressive stock removal and blending on ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys when used in die grinders or air tools accepting a 1/4 in shank. OSG's BUR-EC designation confirms the end-cut feature, allowing plunge cutting and work in blind cavities, and the solid carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for extended tool life in production deburring, weld removal, porting, and surface preparation operations.
