The OSG ADO-TRS-3D-8 (OSG item# 8720800) is a new, solid carbide through-coolant drill with an 8 mm cutting diameter and a 3×D depth-of-cut rating, made in Japan to OSG's ADO-TRS series standard. The ADO-TRS series features OSG's proprietary A-Brand geometry with a thinned web, polished flutes, and an AlCrN-based hard coating (OSG's "TRS" treatment) engineered for stainless steels and difficult-to-cut materials including austenitic stainless, duplex stainless, and titanium alloys. Internal through-coolant channels deliver cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, enabling high feed rates and reliable chip evacuation at 3×D depths without peck cycles. The drill accepts standard cylindrical shank toolholders (hydraulic, shrink-fit, or milling chuck) compatible with an 8 mm bore.
