The OTC 1066 is a new, heavy-duty 3-jaw twin ram mechanical gear puller rated at 17.5 tons (35,000 lb) pulling capacity, manufactured by OTC Tools (Owatonna, MN) and made in the USA with globally sourced components as labeled on the box. The puller features a reversible jaw design that allows both inside (blind-bore) and outside pulling configurations without additional tooling, with jaws that can be positioned in multiple holes along the straight arms to adjust reach and spread. Each jaw is secured via bolt-and-plate locking hardware, and the included hardware kit (visible in the component photo) provides the bolt set and spacer plates needed for jaw extension and reconfiguration. The twin ram design distributes pulling force across two drive screws for improved stability on large-diameter components such as heavy flywheels, large bearings, gears, pulleys, and hubs that would be difficult to center with a single-ram puller. The 3-jaw configuration ensures balanced, concentric pulling force, reducing the risk of cocking or damaging the workpiece during removal.
