The OTC 5912 CrimpWell Angled Wire Crimper is a new, USA-made manual hand tool designed to cut and crimp soft solid or stranded wire in the 12–22 AWG range (the product listing notes 22–10 AWG capacity; OTC's own box label confirms 12–22 AWG for soft wire). The jaw head is angled relative to the handles to allow access to awkward or confined routing locations such as along a firewall or beneath a dash, where straight-jaw tools cannot reach. The black-oxide steel head and pivot provide corrosion resistance, while the blue dip-coated handles cushion hand pressure during operation. At 11 inches overall length, the tool delivers sufficient mechanical advantage for consistent, repeatable terminal crimps without the need for a ratchet mechanism — the operator simply seats the connector in the crimping die, positions it over the wire, and squeezes. Compatible with standard insulated and non-insulated open-barrel terminals sized for the supported wire gauges.
