This is a new, factory-original Peerless Pump / LaBour Taber stuffing box kit, part number 96703356 (process order 2695914-000), designed for the 8196M series centrifugal pump in the 8-inch size configuration. The kit is constructed from 316 stainless steel (316SS) for superior corrosion resistance in demanding process and industrial fluid-handling applications. Major components visible in the kit include the cast iron (blue-painted) stuffing box housing with precision-machined bore and flanged mounting face, the gland follower assembly, four hex cap screws, two roll pins, flat washers, a retaining ring, set screws, and a bronze/graphite packing or lantern ring segment.
