The Promax SPL1617 is a solid carbide 3-flute form tool ground to a .085-inch tip width with a 45-degree included angle, designed for producing consistent chamfers, bevels, or custom profiles in a single pass. The tool is coated with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride), which provides high heat resistance and hardness (up to ~3,300 HV surface hardness) suitable for dry or semi-dry cutting of carbon steel, alloy steel, hardened steels, and cast iron.
