The PS Safety Access EdgeSafe Smart Gate ESG-96-PCY is a new, self-closing vertical-swing loading dock safety gate rated for personnel impact, designed to prevent falls at mezzanine edges, loading docks, and elevated platform openings. The gate frame is constructed from steel with a high-visibility yellow powder coat finish (PCY suffix) and operates via a gas-spring mechanism that automatically returns the gate to the closed/raised position after each pallet jack or forklift pass-through, requiring no manual re-latching. The 96-inch (8 ft) clear opening width is encoded in the model number (ESG-96), placing it in the largest single-span configuration of the ESG series, which also includes 60 in, 120 in, and 144 in models per the included instruction sheet. Hardware, mounting feet with anchor bolt provisions, and a full installation/operation manual (PS Industries PN 515218 B, Rev111225) are included in the kit; the gate bolts to the floor via base flanges and requires no electrical connections.
