R&N 25432 3/8-24 NF H3 HSS Plug Tap (12pcs)

This is a new, USA-made lot of 12 R&N (Reiff & Nestor Company, Lykens, PA) plug hand taps, part number 25432, sized 3/8-24 NF (National Fine thread) with an H3 pitch diameter tolerance limit. H3 designates a tolerance range of +0.0005 to +0.0015 in. above basic pitch diameter, appropriate for threading mild steel, aluminum, and similar materials to a standard 2B or 3B fit. The plug chamfer style (3–5 threads of lead) makes these versatile for through-holes and deeper blind holes where a taper start is not required. Constructed from high-speed steel (HSS) with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance and improved lubrication retention, each tap features a straight-flute design with a square shank drive end compatible with standard tap wrenches and T-handle drivers. Taps are stored in individual plastic sleeves as shown; the original R&N outer carton is worn but all 12 taps are new and unused.
